RETURN

A pilgrimage into remembrance

A week of space, infinity and inner movement.
A journey into silence – and deeper into yourself.

Deeper Listening

What emerges when we stop functioning?

When the noise within us meets the silence outside, the gap becomes tangible: between us and our surroundings, between life and the feeling of truly being a part of it.

In the vastness, this gap may slowly grow smaller.

When the senses open again. When silence is no longer threatening because the noise within us no longer needs to be loud in order to be heard. When our connection with ourselves is allowed to deepen – and with it, the love for our own being and compassion for ourselves.

Whatever enters our experience is allowed to move – because it is seen and witnessed, without needing to be changed immediately.

Perhaps this is exactly where co-creation with what surrounds us begins. A living exchange from which more abundance, joy and aliveness may arise again.

Growth does not have to be painful. Growth is allowed to be truthful.

From this truthfulness, strength and courage can grow to meet the unknown – because we no longer abandon ourselves along the way. Because above all, we have ourselves.

What rises when we begin to listen? What moves us when we allow ourselves to be moved? Where is the deeper well from which we draw, inspire and co-create? Where is the place in which everything is allowed to be?

Endless dunes in warm evening light

The desert speaks in its silence.

It remembers. It enlivens. It moves.

It touches what feels too small within, what believes itself lost, what feels insignificant, monotonous or separate.

In its vastness, we begin to clear. We bring home what has had no place for a long time. We recognise where we ourselves are nature, where we separate from it and what exactly we are invited to re-member – as a part of ourselves.

The desert reminds us of the essential. Of what is powerful and substantial. Of what is light and simple.

To be enough. Exactly right in our own presence. What do you contribute simply by BEING, by existing? What is your natural self-expression when you allow yourself to be? And in what way are you therefore a gift in the field, in the collective, in the community that surrounds you?

We will follow the traces of a few questions and explore space for expanded perception.

What moves us when we allow ourselves to be moved?

A week of space

Your own pulse is allowed to become audible again.

I invite you into a week of space, infinity, inner movement and impulses that strengthen you again in your own pulse.

A week of allowing presence, and allowing whatever enters the field through it to move because it is witnessed, without wanting to change it.

A week of space for you. For a digital detox. For a mental and emotional detox. A journey deeper into yourself.

So that what slips away far too quickly in everyday life can remain. A seed. A core. A field. Your being.

22–28 October 2026

Arrive. Immerse. Integrate.

Arrive

We arrive in Marrakech, settle into the riad together and meet for an arrival dinner. Time to truly arrive and allow your own rhythm to slow down.

Immerse

We continue to M’Hamid and into the desert. Five days and four nights for vastness, silence, sensing, exchange and remembrance. Time and space for what appears in presence and is allowed to move.

In the desert, we move and allow ourselves to be guided by those who were born there. Aziz and his team are Sahrawi nomads. They build the camp especially for us and, on the third day, will walk with us and the camels to another place. In this way, we give movement to what reveals itself and consciously walk towards what is allowed to come.

Through your presence on this journey, you support the life of a people who were forced to become sedentary. This creates a cycle of support that is allowed to draw ever wider circles, connecting and uniting like a mandala.

Integrate

We return to Marrakech. In a workshop with TAGHATT, a small leather pouch is created in the Amazigh tradition – for what was remembered in the desert and wishes to be kept.

Sometimes integration begins before the experience.

If it is possible for you, stay in Morocco for a few more days before or after the retreat – or give yourself time on both sides.

Sometimes the best integration is the time we give ourselves beforehand to truly arrive.

After the desert, unfilled days can also help the experience settle before everyday life reaches for you again. You organise and shape this additional time freely for yourself.

If you register in good time, it is possible to extend your stay at the riad before or after the retreat. It is located in a quiet side street of the Medina, away from the bustle and in a safe environment. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Who we are

Portrait of Dana Stechow

Dana

For over 20 years, Dana has been exploring healing, human experience, and what it means to be truly alive. As a health practitioner, therapeutic gong artist, experience designer, and retreat chef, she weaves together healing, art, food, storytelling, music, and nature.

Through the spaces Dana creates, she invites people to reconnect with themselves and explore how their way of living can become a contribution to life itself.

A close portrait of Aziz

Aziz

Born in the desert and rooted in the Sahrawi nomadic tradition, Aziz carries a heritage increasingly at risk of being lost as nomadic communities are forced to settle.

Through guided journeys, he shares his intimate knowledge of the land, its stories, and the culture that has grown in relationship with it. In this way, he keeps its living threads alive—creating encounters with the desert that reach far beyond simply travelling through it.

Leather craftsmanship in the TAGHATT atelier

TAGHATT

Founded by Hamza and Jusif, TAGHATT brings together Amazigh craft heritage and contemporary leather design. Rooted in a family culture where making by hand is part of everyday life, their work is shaped by years of studying traditional craftsmanship and training in luxury leatherwork.

Through teaching, TAGHATT supports local people in developing their own products, preserving cultural knowledge, and carrying Morocco’s craft traditions into the future through contemporary design. On the final Sunday of the retreat, Hamza and Jusif will guide a leather workshop—offering a creative space to integrate the desert journey and give its experience a tangible form.
